Confused about updates
I just rediscovered No Pink Ponies and read thru the archives. The latest strip is apparently the "Jess ... will you ... go to the San Diego Comic Expocon with me?" strip, apparently dated April 27, 2008, except that it also shows up in the archives in http://nopinkponies.com/d/20090613.html .
I've read the archived news posts, and I got confused trying to figure out what was being updated and when. I hope it's just that it's late and I'm tired (partly from reading a certain entire Web comic in one fast sitting).
Is the 27 April 2008 strip the most recent one on-line? Is that the final strip of Volume 1? After that date, was Eisu backfilling gaps in the sequence? Are there any strips in print after that, maybe?

Eisu has been playing catch up for a while. The newest strip up was supposed to go up in April, but it instead went up in June.
I hope that kinda makes sense. ._.;

tmcd: Basically, it is what Murrie said. The latest post was supposed to go up in April... of last year ^^;;; My comic strip is a real time comic strip style storytelling so I can't just have the date skip a whole year without jumping the storyline events. I could a month or two, but not one whole year. So now, I'm just playing catch-up as best as I can and apparently, it's not good enough. I have too many jobs to do >_< This comic doesn't pay enough for me to really put a full-time concentration on it, sadly.

Nahh, don't worry about it, when I say stuff like that, I don't mean people should pay me for the comic. I'm just saying I need the money to pay my living bills but I will not abandon this comic. I will put it on hiatus, but not abandon it.

Yea for the hiatus! I just rediscovered this comic, read through it in a couple of days and fell in serious like with it. Hope to see you soon with new updates. Till then, take care of business and stay well.

Okay, so I know the comic's been updating, but I still can't find the newest updates. It's stuck on July 10th, 2008.
Is there a way to find the more recent updates?

That is the recent update. As I've said in the post above, the updates are all "catching up" updates, as in, they were supposed to go up back in 2008, I missed it, so I'm updating it now. The comic is based in real time (my fault, shouldn't have done that) so I can't just up and skip 2 whole years alluvasudden... 3 months, sure, 4 or even 6 months, yeah, no problem, but 2 years? that's just a lot of unexplained things there.
It will continue to be backdated until I eventually catch up, hopefully by the end of the year if I can keep up the update pacing I've been on.

yeah, found this comic just last week, and had to say its great stuff. i just really appreciate the depth of expression in all the characters.
a shame you aren't getting enough income to make it a full time job.
one suggestion, if you can make the link to the printed book on the archive pages not just the front page. i found it (and bought a copy) eventually, but only after emailing eisu. since I had only been reading the archives.
another suggestion that may be harder to fix is that it'd be nice if there were a way to allow payment using paypal or google accounts or have it on amazon or something. i always hate retyping my credit card info more often than I need.
but anyway, love the comic. looking forward to the update.
(it's funny, I was still catching up in the archive, but clicked to the current comic to buy the book and saw the wedding. and thought, wow, Jess gets married?! but only now did I realize that it's not her wedding)
