That is very good to know. Ever heard of Ragnarok? I miss it so much since my comp has a screw loose and won't allow for complex graphics and can't replace it(TT_TT). Anyway... Ragnarok is good one to try if you haven't played it. good classes and updates pretty often. I'm pretty partial to my beloved wizard class I play in almost every game I ever tried. Nothing says kick ass like a full offensive support troop if ya ask me. Freeze the main melle forces and take out the archers and other wizards in just 10 seconds... thats amore.

Anyway.. the link is iro.ragnarokonline.com. Its like 15 bucks a month or something. Hopefull, I can get a new comp soon if I save up since I have interveiws for pt-jobs comeing up so I can get back in to my lvl 70+ wiz. Man... i miss being in charge of the magic-user's ranks of Sapient~(one of the top guilds FYI).

Re: Ahhh... so your an MMOer?

I started MMO with the beta testing of Ragnarok Online...

But, that game, not my cup of tea. To me, it's just cute and a online social gathering game with fighting involved. There's no real story or reason for me to play that game other than levelling up and getting costumes and all that, so it's really boring and repetitive to me.

With WoW or CoH or even Guild Wars, I get to do quests, advance a storyline and better graphics, but hey, this is me. I just think RO is just not a good game to start for MMOs, that's what I think.

And of course, there's the whole people playing it just to meet/get significant others thing, but this is common for a lot of MMOs, except that on RO, it's more apparent.

Yeah... I heaard alot of complaints from long time players that it used to be like that. it's better now and there are actually chapters in the play. These bassicly come down to a set seris of updates... but there are stories that follow them. To figure out how to start most of the quest and events... you need to go to the forum because, yes, it was designed to encourage communial play. Thus why the best dongeons in the game are the castle basements that ere only availibe if you are in a guild that counquers a castle.

They kick ass down there too. All MvP bosses and is PvP for an extra challange. Only problem... afew guilds take the PvP thing as a sign of war and will purposly attack and destory your guild members if you so much as accidntly hit a monster they are takeing on down there*. But the exp and drops well out way that. Nothing like a team of 5 lvl 65+ characters fight for 15-20 minutes and getting about 5% exp each(note... thats amazing exp for that high of level unless your a really good time conserver).

*: When I played... a guild member told me of a guild he was in once. They got into a whole Capulet and Montague war in the sense his guild and another started fighting and both forgot why. In the end... a few of the guild men that were in his created female accounts, pretended not to know any of the guild players, romanced the opposing guild, got into the guild, and unleashed their inner Yoko on their asses. Tore the guild apart from the inside and were in the end deleted once the admins figured out what was going on. The damage was already done and one guild was dismantled and another lost 3 of their best members, including the vice-head, over some incident in the Castle Dongeons no one even remebered.

welp, improvements or not, World of Warcraft and City of Heroes is a much better and more organized type of gameplay, so if I play even an improved Ragnarok Online, it'll still shy away from the better stuff I'm playing these days, so, yeah, I don't think I'll ever be returning to Ragnarok Online.

But hey, I'm not condemning it, if people find it fun, good for them, play away, this is just me.

Oh yea... i know what you mean. I was just letting you know the new story stuff and such. I still have ppl squicked because I hate Everquest when I tried it. WAY to much crap goin on in that one and once you start a quest... my god. It take your whole week to finsish some of the novice-ish ones. For the exp rewards... i could of just stepped outside any city and killed some low level **** and gotten at least 5 times that. The gold was alright... but unless you plan on hoarding for months and months... what are you gonna do with it? the only way to get really goo at it and get really good items is to have a really good bank account and be on good standing with Ebay.

I must admit, I got bored of RO very quickly. I started out playing FFXI with some friends, but I found it too stagnant, so I quit playing MMO's.

Then my girlfriend bugged me into buying WoW to play with her, so I did and really started to enjoy it. The girlfriend then vanished for six months, but I'm still playing WoW. The quest system is fun, the PvP is good and I never feel like I'm stuck grinding my way up levels forever.

I used to play MMORPGs, but after a bout on Runescape *shudder* that was way too long, I gave up. Only online games I play now are Jedi Knight Academy and Halo PC/CE
